Travel Gear

Set of 8 packing cubes in beige. 4 square with mesh fronts. A square without a mesh front, three smaller bags and a laundry bag

Trust us, you NEEEED some Packing Cubes

I’m sure you’ve read this in many a travel article but let me say, they WORK! Think of them as a dresser in your suitcase that lets you pack way more than you could without them.

Comfortable & Stylish Shoes for Women

It doesn’t matter how cute they are, if they hurt your feet you DON’T bring them when you travel. I’ve had these for a few years now and walked for miles!

Comfortable Walking Shoes for Women

Comfortable enough to run in and cute enough to pair with a skirt. And believe it or not, they’re machine washable! These are a travel MUST!

Comfortable & Stylish Shoes for Men

Bringing these along will let you head to the beach or to the theater. Talk about versatile!!

Banish Blisters & Chafing with Body Glide

This product is sold in sports stores for runners. It’s designed to prevent chafing. I use it on my feet every single time I wear shoes without socks. I use it even when I’m at home and running errands. After all, there is no glory in have blisters!

Black bag for toiletries #4 of the 5 things you need to check out before your next adventure

Have a “to go” kit for toiletries

Get a travel toiletry bag and fill it with things that you use every day. I was resistant at first because I thought, “hey, I’m not a billionaire! I don’t need an extra deodorant. I’ll just take mine.” This was until I forgot my deodorant and had to do an emergency run to a Duane Reed in NYC.

Get a Travel Monitor

If you have a laptop, that’s good. But having a travel monitor with your laptop is EVEN better. Here are some things to consider:

  • Weight – The lighter the better, since you’ll be carrying with you around the world.
  • Power and video connections – Many travel monitors run on USB3 for both power and video connections. Before you buy one, make sure that’s compatible with your laptop. If not, you’ll need one that has a power supply and an alternate video cable like HDMI.

Two white in-ear headphones with a white charging case

Noise Cancelling Headphones

It’s okay if you want to get the ones that make you look like you’re directing traffic on a runway but I’ve opted for the AirPods from Apple. They are low profile and their noise cancelling game is strong. They let my family live their normal lives while I pretend to be a professional business person

Rolling Laptop Bag

You DO NOT want to risk having your livelihood in a checked bag that gets tossed in the belly of a 737. You also do not want to carry a 25 pound bag around an airport. I just picked up this gem. It’s lightweight and can stack on my checked bag

Black laptop back with a cloth handle and a metal telescoping handle.
Black ergonomic wireless keyboard and mouse.

Wireless Mouse & Keyboard

Nothing will bring on carpel tunnel faster than typing for days on end on a straight laptop keyboard. Not to mention what will happen to your mental health if you try to use the built in eraser style mouse. Get a wireless mouse and keyboard and don’t forget to pack an extra pair of AA batteries.
